Welcome to our website
Head Teacher's Welcome
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Falkirk High School website, the purpose of which is to provide useful information about the school and an insight into the wide range of learning experiences and opportunities we provide for our young people. We work very hard in Falkirk High School to provide a learning environment that allows each and every member of our school community the opportunity to fulfil their potential in the widest sense regardless of personal, background or financial circumstances.
We pride ourselves on our supportive and caring ethos and are very proud of the many and varied successes and achievements of our pupils supported by our dedicated and talented staff. As a school we have benefitted significantly from the ‘Scottish Attainment Challenge’ with respect to additional funding and we aim to use this resource to reduce the barriers that some of our young people face due to economic hardship. We are determined to reduce the impact on educational outcomes caused by living in poverty for our most disadvantaged pupils and their families. At the same time we are delighted by the outcomes achieved by our higher attaining pupils and we will continue to do everything we can to support the aspirations of our most ambitious and successful young people and their families.
I hope that the website provides a useful reference point for pupils, parents and members of the wider community. As always, if you require further information or clarification on any matter please do not hesitate to contact us.
